Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner

Tuina/Anmo
As an excellent introduction to the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Tuina / Anmo program trains students in the ancient art of Chinese massage while providing a solid understanding of a the holistic approach to health care. Clinical internships give students opportunities to observe the operations of a TCM clinic and learn to conduct supervised patient evaluations and diagnosis, as well as conducting treatments on patients.
Acupuncture
Building on the foundation created by the Tuina/Anmo program, the Acupuncture program is a unique program that is a condensed version of the 4-year programs offered at TCM universities in China. Students learn to practice the ancient art of Acupuncture and gain a solid understanding of the Traditional Chinese Medicine approach to health care.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner
The Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner program at PCU College is a unique three-year program that incorporates the standard pillars of the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine with a fundamental approach to Western medicine. Adopting a truly holistic approach, this program is a condensed version of practitioner programs offered at TCM universities in China.
Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine
Following completion of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner Program, students are eligible to take the Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine Program. At this level, students will follow advanced-level courses in Western Medicine, TCM Clinical Sciences, Traditional Chinese Classics, Clinical Training and further general studies.
Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbalist
TCM Herbalists are experts on the healing properties of plants and herbs and can offer alternative or complementary treatments to conventional medicine. As Chinese herbal medicine becomes more popular in North America, practitioners can be found in most major cities. Herbal medicine is a central discipline of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), and acts on internal aspects of the body to restore balance between the body fluids, correct internal organ dysfunction and expel pathogenic factors. TCM Herbalists work in herbal dispensaries, health and wellness clinics and a variety of holistic medicine environments.
Registered Massage Therapy
As more people turn to massage therapy for treatment of medical conditions, injuries and overall wellness, Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) are becoming an essential part of the healthcare system in BC. In order to provide effective treatment to their clients, massage therapists must have the comprehensive knowledge base and skill set that comes from the right training.

Roya's sense of compassion and genial personality made her an ideal candidate for PCU College's Spa Practitioner program. Taking a comprehensive approach to holistic therapies, the Spa Practitioner program draws on Eastern philosophy and Western therapeutic techniques to prepare grads to be spa professionals.
