Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture Grow in PopularityThursday, August 10, 2017
Increased demand for experts in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine has burgeoned due to a growing public demand for natural healing products and holistic medicine.
“Growing interest in natural health and longevity has raised public awareness of holistic medicine,Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), herbal medical remedies and other forms of alternative therapies,” says Anthony Choi, Campus Director at PCU College of Holistic Medicine.
Choi says it is becoming more common for Western Medicine practitioners to refer patients to holistic medicine clinics to enhance the healing process. Meanwhile, it is becoming more common for public and private health plans to cover the costs of TCM and Acupuncture, recognizing these treatments as an essential part of health, wellness and recovery.
In particular, people living with chronic conditions are looking for natural cures to restore their wellness, according to Choi. He says TCM can be both economical and practical for those seeking alternative medical treatment.
