PCU College of Holistic Medicine serves a multi-cultural, domestic and international community by providing high quality post-secondary education programs in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The faculty and staff at PCU College are firmly committed to promoting the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other alternative health treatments in North America.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine curriculum at PCU College is similar to programs offered at TCM training universities in China. A standard five-year TCM training program in China can be completed in 3½ years at PCU College based on the college's 11-week quarter system.

The college, centrally located in Burnaby, BC, maintains the highest level of quality for all programs and aims to become Canada's foremost institution for holistic medicine.

Student Experience

The success of PCU College is based on the success of our graduates. We will help you become the best holistic health practitioner throughout your educational program and assist you from the first day of enrollment to throughout your career. We offer exceptional holistic medicine programs and quality student services including student advising, financial help, tutoring, job placement assistance and continuing education lectures for alumni.

As a PCU College student, you will learn from experienced, licensed practitioners in small classes that allow for personalized learning. This means you get the individual attention you need, when you need it, in a tight knit classroom community.

Once you've learned in the classroom, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills during Clinical Placement or practicum placements in our on-site holistic healing clinic. Working under the supervision of licensed practitioners, you will gain valuable hands-on experience with patients and build your diagnostic, clinical and communication skills. Your Clinical Placement will also assist you in your transition from student to practitioner as you prepare to write the CTCMA licensing exams.

Student Services

From planning careers and choosing programs to the first day of class to graduation and beyond, the Student Services department at PCU College assists students with some of the challenges they may face over the course of their studies.

Student Services representative are responsible for assisting students with their class schedules and ensuring that they receive the appropriate text books and course materials. The department also monitors academic progress and does everything possible to ensure student success.

Housing

PCU College does not provide student housing. However, there are numerous housing options near the campus and staff members are available to assist students in finding housing. A listing of rental and shared accommodation ads is posted on campus.

Academic Counselling

Student Services and the Admissions department are available at all times to address students' needs and concerns. Academic progress is constantly monitored and every effort is made to ensure students' success. In special instances, tutors will be provided for those students who require additional attention.

Career Placement Assistance

Students seeking career placement assistance can visit the Student Services department at any time throughout their studies. PCU College constantly receives information about career opportunities in the field and is dedicated to fulfilling the career objectives of graduates.
